Professional Development On Your Schedule
GradCO offers an asynchronous professional development course hosted on Coursera for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The course provides flexible, structured training developed by experts from multiple Colorado institutions and focuses on essential competencies that are often not explicitly taught in graduate programs, including communication, networking, career planning and strategy, collaboration, inclusivity, and self-awareness. Although designed for graduate trainees, the content is broadly applicable to anyone navigating research-focused career paths.
The course is organized into five modules, each containing approximately 4–6 hours of content. Learners may complete the full course over several weeks or engage selectively with the lessons most relevant to their goals. Most Colorado graduate institutions provide free access to Coursera, and all instructional videos are also available on our YouTube channel, ensuring broad accessibility.
